The Organic Industry is Exploding!

Some of the news coming out of the main stream media, is showing that there has been a large increase in people choosing organic products over conventional ones. People are starting to realize that our food and lifestyle choices are affecting not only our health but our way of life. Without good health your life is one of visits to the doctor and feeling ill all the time. People are waking up to the fact that they don’t have to live like that and that there are healthier choices out there.

So does it cost more to buy organic products? In some cases -yes. But one has to weigh up the costs of NOT choosing a healthier lifestyle. One only has to look at the increase in medical conditions over the past decade such as diabetes, obesity, heart conditions, cancer and the list goes on. All of these health diseases can be linked to being overweight, eating the wrong food types, not exercising and use of harmful chemicals in their homes and on their bodies. With the commencement of this pandemic and all the lock downs and other restrictions, we now have to take time out to do whats best for ourselves. That could mean improving our diet by eating organic foods to help boost our natural immune system and help fight off disease. Other ways of looking after ourselves is by choosing safer chemicals or cleaners to use in the home. Exercising regularly also helps in improving our general and mental health. If locked down why not start your own organic herb or vegetable garden. Another great hobby for your health is growing micro- greens. There are lots of seed packets of various mixtures available now to make a blend for your taste buds. You can let them grow a bit longer and they are great for salads or even to feed the chooks. These are great if you only have a small area to grow your crops in.

For those who already have a good immune system and don’t wish to have a vaccine due to other limiting health conditions there is good news out there for you. Studies have shown that if you have been exposed to coronaviruses before, you may already possess antibodies to protect you. But don’t forget to check with your doctor before making any health decisions.
